Child Passenger Safety Program
OCTSB runs a child passenger safety program (CPS), sponsored by the New York State Governor's Traffic Safety Committee. Our mission for this program is to provide education to community members, and also to ensure that all kids in Oswego County are able to travel safely.
Car Seat Distribution Program
This program is intended for income eligible residents of Oswego County who are in need of a car seat. Proof of eligibility is required, along with an application. This program is made possible using funds from the NYS GTSC.
If you are approved to receive a car seat from OCTSB, you can then schedule your appointment with a certified CPS technician to go over how to properly install your car seat!

Car Seat Check Events
Throughout the year we partner with other organizations to host car seat check events. At these drive-through events, we have CPS technicians available to check every car seat that comes through! You will leave one of our events knowing that your child is safe as they ride in the car.
